Wizard Smoke

A few Indie teenagers have managed to make skateboarding look cool. The more astonishing fact is that they’ve only used classic soundtracks from some of the finest bands and some chalk dust as extras to accomplish such a thing. Sarcasm aside, the film is actually enticing as it makes the regular couch potato want to go to his nearest skatepark and slap on some chalk dust to impress the ladies. The film known as Wizard Smoke was produced by Film Zalazar. Liam Mitchell is the genius behind this film as he directed the majority of it. The soundtracks that is used in the short film are titled; The Seeds – I can’t seem to make you mine and Kula ShakerDr Kitt.

A few weeks ago I was intrigued on a directors approach to a book filled with short ironic, witty and disturbing stories. Victor Solomon has directed five short videos, all of which have been extracted from  a book called Anthropology by Dan Rhodes. The book is filled with short experiences written by, what can only be described as, a bunch of Hopeless Romantics.
