Marc Yankus, born and raised in New York city, is a renowned commercial photographer. His experience of over 30 years has seen him produce remarkable work exhibited in places such as the Library of Congress, The Brooklyn Museum, and ClampArt, New York. Much of his work has been featured on book covers and theatrical posters. One of his most fascinating series is Cityscapes. In this collection, Yankus superimposes old photographic to recent photographs of New York. As he so eloquently puts it, Cityscapes is “a reflection of the past, my past, and the passage of time.”

The process is brilliant, but what matters in the end is the final imagery, and I must say most of these really pull through as just stunning pieces. I would love to hang them in my room.

This work just reminds me not to lose hope in photography as a true art form, the commercial side of it really makes me forget. Thank you for the post and gorgeous photographs !
